DIVERSITY INITIATIVES
at Bosque School
about...
(a little about me)
WHO: Tamisha Williams; Assistant Director of College Counseling/Director of Diversity Initiatives
WHAT: A native of Richmond, VA who joined the Bobcat community in August of 2013. I'm excited to explore the Southwest. My hopeful travel list includes Denver, Phoenix, and California.
WHEN: (I'm not at work...) I like to read fantasy fiction books and mystery/detective novels, start new art projects, watch mystery television shows/movies, dance, and try new recipes.
WHERE: I attended the University of Richmond (Richmond, VA) where I majored in Studio Art and Education. Following my undergraduate studies, I received a Master of Education from the College of William & Mary (Williamsburg, VA) in Family and Marriage Counseling. Prior to coming to Bosque School, I served as the Asst. Director of Admission at the University of Richmond, where I worked in multicultural recruitment and on-campus programming. I've served as the coordinator of a tutoring/mentoring program for middle school students, a resident assistant for a collegiate first-year summer bridge program, and a group facilitator of two multicultural women's groups.
WHY: I do the work that I do because I have a passion for making sure that all students have access to education, and a belief that individuals should not be discriminated upon on the basis of their race, color, national origin, age, ability, sex, gender identity, religion, sexual orientation, etc.
